ABOUT ME

I’m Essie and I like to eat. When I’m not eating, I’m writing and photographing food. My Nigerian heritage and upbringing in the UK exposed me to a range of recipes, food markets and ingredients which inspired the creation of my food blog, Essie Eats.

My interests lie in capturing the stories of the people behind our food, and how food is central to keeping our cultures alive.

To date, I have published a range of content including reviews, interviews and recipes, which have been featured on my blog and publications including Vogue Magazine, Black Ballad and Melan Magazine. I’ve also worked with brands including Oja and Crepe Affaire.

Most recently, I completed a Food Photography & Styling Course at the Le Cordon Bleu London.

I am based in the UK, but available for assignments worldwide!
